Hugh and Jongdae talk about why Korean students can be under so much stress. They were both lucky to not feel too much pressure from their parents, but many other students are not as fortunate as can be seen by the high suicide rate. This type of pressure is a big problem in Korea. Not only because of the pressure but the narrow life that parents push their children into doesn’t guarantee happiness.

We live a type of double life where we are in the countryside doing countryside things and then in the same week we’ll go to Seoul and have meetings and socialize with cool people and all sorts of fun things like that.
Hugh and Joel (who you might have seen in some of 영국남자 Korean Englishman‘s videos) talk about perceptions of both British guys and Korean guys, especially the fantasy gentleman aspect of it. Does it affect them negatively or positively? Does it change how they now interact with people?
Joel was really fun to film with so let us know if you enjoyed this video so we can do more like it.
Yesterday Hugh went to the Costco in Busan. It was the first time he’d been to a Costco so he made a video.
I was still recovering from surgery here so not up to doing much filming. This year, health problems and busy schedules have really prevented us from filming everything we want to but it has lead to Hugh’s decision that he is going to film a lot more for you guys. That will give me more time for the comics and webtoons, while still having lots of videos on this channel. Although he is a social butterfly in real life (and never stops talking haha) he has always been much shyer on camera. Hopefully he will become more confident now, so please encourage him!
Geojedo ‘Theme Museum’ was kinda brilliant in its weirdness. There was Greek mythology on the outside, lots of Korean modern history objects inside, and then suddenly random stuff from movies…. but older movies from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. I have a feeling it’s a museum where museum objects go to retire… they just take everything!
So while I was thinking that those boys shouldn’t be drinking like that (must have forgotten I was in Korea! haha) Hugh had only thought about bribing them so they wouldn’t call him ahjussi. He doesn’t like to be faced with the reality of his age and how the younger generation now view him. I understand it, I hate being called ahjumma…. but he’s going a lot further to still feel young!
I kinda briefly explain what has been up with my body lately. This is on top of me already having mild Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. There must be something with female bloggers always having health problems (EYK’s Martina with EDS and Grace from Texan in Tokyo has health problems as well). It sucks!
Besides from the sickness update we tell you some more stuff about us!
