Relationships with Koreans- friendships and romance

Korean Drama Guy

Korean Drama Guy

Mr Gwon does have a grumpy, bossy side, and it does come out occasionally.

I get annoyed at the same plot line used in a lot of Korean dramas where they guy is really rude and bossy to the girl until he eventually realises he loves her. It is used way too much. I really don’t like it when the girl is really submissive as well and responds to his dumb requests like “Meet me here!”, “Bring me coffee!” etc etc. I usually don’t put up with it and just laugh when some of those behaviours occasionally come out in my husband. He always denies that he was acting like a Korean drama guy later, but he knows it!

The Cash

The Cash

…..I did end up using some of his cash. I needed floral leggings for an 80’s theme party I’m going to…..so it was very important.

I Did It

I did it

Always claiming other people’s romantic gestures! One day he is going to do something big and elaborate for me and I’ll be like “As if you did this!” and not believe him.

Jerk

Jerk

Mr Gwon isn’t a really moody guy BUT he does have some strange moods sometimes. Sometimes I think he likes to pretend he is the lead male in a Korean drama. You know how they are usually jerks at first?

It’s really not romantic, trust me, it’s just annoying. I should be nice to him because he gave me one chewy mint?! I didn’t draw it in the comic because it would have been too long but he actually made me eat the half first before he gave me a full one. I know he is laughing on the inside but he does it with a really straight face.

Too Many Comments

Too many comments

Guys…. he is obsessed with his Facebook fanpage. He really tries to answer all the comments but I think there will come a point where he just can’t. He is on it before he goes to bed at night and gets up earlier than me to go on it because he is excited to talk to people and to share his favourite music.

He has always been more social than me, he LOVES talking to people, but I do think he will have to slow up at some point. These days I can’t reply to all the comments on the blog, Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter. I read every single one but if I replied to all my head might explode and I’d have no time to do anything else. I’m really sorry that I can’t always reply.

I think part of the reason why he loves having a fanpage is because he has realised that people actually like him and like talking to him. When the blog suddenly got a lot of attention and was on Naver and all that, although the online attention we got was positive, in our personal lives we got a lot of negativity, especially from some of my husband’s friends. I think it all came down to jealously but unfortunately it was expressed in ways that hurt my husband. A few friends in particular were very clear that they believed this success was only because of me, and that my husband was just lucky that he married me and they resented him for getting popular from doing nothing.

The thing is… this blog is ABOUT my husband. If I wasn’t with him I would never have started it. He is my inspiration and my muse. He is the one still working while I blog, even though I don’t earn money yet. I can only do this because of him. Not only that, but it’s becoming a joint project now. My husband is the one who will be doing the editing of videos for our YouTube channel and we have big plans for the future.

Anyway I just want to thank everyone for interacting with him because it makes him excited and happy and makes him feel a part of all this now.

Bad Timing

Bad Timing

Oops… that was just bad timing. If I vomited every time he was naked I’d be vomiting an awful lot.

So this comic was supposed to be up yesterday BUT I actually got very very sick ๐Ÿ™

We went to a medical centre and I was given an injection and some more medicine. Unfortunately I had a bad reaction to the injection and we ended up in the hospital emergency room. So most of yesterday was spent in waiting rooms while I was not well at all. My beautiful husband was so patient and caring and completely wonderful all of yesterday and I know this is sappy but I just appreciate him so much.

I’m feeling much better today as the bad reaction has worn off and the doctor says the virus that I have should be gone soon. So yeah, that’s why there was no new comic yesterday.

Playing a game

Playing a game

He has started playing a game called Kritika. He thinks he can multi-task, but he can’t.

He is not a really serious gamer and although it can annoy me sometimes I guess it could be worse. He names his characters after me or this blog so if you ever come across a character called Nichola or MKH something in a game… it might be him.

I’ll be back in Sydney tomorrow ๐Ÿ™‚
